Travel Guide to Port Charles: When to Go, Where to Live, Who to Love and Who to Never, Ever Cross in America's Most Dramatic City (ABC)
Vendor: Abebooks.com Price: 2.72 $Lucy Coe, the once mousy librarian who turned into a villainous liar, schemer, vixen and unlikely heroine takes us on a tour of Port Charles where, she says, you're as likely to encounter a den of not-so-secret agents as you are a gold-hearted, gun-toting "coffee importer." But Lucy isn't your only guide. Other storied characters from the show step in to take a leg of the tour. In these pages, you'll find the lowdown on the history of their fair (if not always just) city, where to settle, what to eat, how to have fun, whom to befriend and whom to avoid. Please don't be put off by some of the more evocative tidbits you'll find within. There are walking tours. Even though Lucy says the best way to see any city is in the back of a chauffeured limousine ? or better yet, by helicopter, but some have budgets. For economy-conscious travelers Lucy offers a slew of tours that'll cost you nothing but the indignity of being seen in sturdy footwear. Every stop along the way provides gossip, history and sordid details. There is section devoted to the town's heroes, tips on "Where to Gorge," "Where to Worship," a suggested scavenger hunt, reviews of the many Port Charles Balls, and, of course, quizzes the reader can take to determine where they would fit if they were lucky enough to be a Port Charles resident.

Jean Monnet and Canada: Early Travels and the Idea of European Unity (Paperback or Softback)
Vendor: Abebooks.com Price: 4.92 $Jean Monnet (1888-1979) is often viewed as the chief architect of the European Coal and Steel Community, which over time evolved into today's European Union. Monnet spent his early years working as an agent for his father, a cognac producer. It was this experience that took him to Scandinavia, England, the United States, and most importantly Canada, where he was exposed to the country's unique form of federalism.Drawing on a wide variety of empirical sources, including unpublished documents, correspondence, and original historical data extracted from archives both in Canada and Europe, Trygve Ugland's Jean Monnet and Canada argues that the extensive period of time Monnet spent in Canada between 1907 and 1914 had a formative influence on the achievements of his later years, particularly on the institutional 'construction of Europe.'

The Travels of Orange: and other toxins
Vendor: Abebooks.com Price: 26.04 $Dr. Wayne Dwernychuk, a world-renown Agent Orange expert supported my research into the Panama Veteran. His opinion is:"When considering the Vietnam situation there is the formula employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs called presumptive service. Presumptive illness/disability for a Vietnam veteran is determined by certifying that the individual served on the ground in Vietnam or on a ship in the South China Sea anytime between 1959 and 1975. Such a certification is made by reviewing the individual's military service records (usually the DD form 214 - individual's discharge from active service document). Once the veteran has a diagnosis of one of the disabilities or diseases included on the approved list in Title 38 (US Code), they file a claim for service-connected entitlements and the claim works its way through the VA (Veterans Affairs) process. The degree (percentage) of disability awarded by VA is based upon the veteran's health at the time of filing the claim. It is my contention that military personnel serving in areas where Agent Orange or 2,4,5-T was sprayed, and not limited to the Vietnam experience, could have been exposed to the dioxin component of these two categories of herbicide, TCDD. Consequently, the presumptive service nomenclature/formula should apply to these personnel."This book proves that the dioxin TCDD was introduced into Panama.
